An Introduction Of Sorts
hello there! I'm Lennon Stevie and welcome to my Dreamwidth.
I answer to Lennon Stevie, Lennon or Stevie but no diminutives please. I'm named after John Lennon and Stevie Nicks - as the daughter of a music teacher who loves Fleetwood Mac and an English/Drama teacher who loves The Beatles, there really was no hope for me growing up. Completely unsurprisingly, I'm a music/musical theatre nerd bookworm and work for a music venue.
Music wise, I love: 2cellos, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, John Lennon, Lin-Manuel Miranda, One Direction, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Stevie Nicks
But also: Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, George Gerswhin, Gustav Holst, Igor Stravinsky, JS Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Richard Wagner, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,
And randomly: Al Bowlly, Avenged Sevenfold, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Deep Purple, Julie Andrews, Maud Powell, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Stan Kenton
My hobbies include playing music (drums, guitar, piano), singing, ice-skating, roller-skating, skateboarding, ballroom dancing, running, yoga, gymnastics, going to concerts and curling up with a good book or a movie/tv show.
I want to learn to play a woodwind instrument, to improve my french, ballet and possibly something like pottery or woodwork.
Fandomwise, I'm all about musicals/musical theatre, Disney, old Hollywood and anything relating to the stories of King Arthur and Robin Hood

Also I'm super impressed by the number of hobbies you have, and how 'active' they all are. (Unlike my 'reading'. o_O)

This weather, I'm generally mostly found watching tv/movies or reading but once the weather warms up, I love to DO things that's for sure!

Hello!
My given name is Elizabeth Barrette, pleased to meet you. I met a James Bond at a convention once too. :D
>> My hobbies include playing music (drums, guitar, piano), singing, ice-skating, roller-skating, skateboarding, ballroom dancing, running, yoga, gymnastics, going to concerts and curling up with a good book or a movie/tv show.<<
I like listening to music, watching dance, and reading.
>> I want to learn to play a woodwind instrument, to improve my french, ballet and possibly something like pottery or woodwork.<<
Those are good plans. I've done ceramics, it's fun. Many colleges have ceramics classes and these can often be taken on a nondegree basis. Sometimes you can find a separate studio too. See also metal clay, which is not actually earth clay but works similarly, only you get metal jewelry in the end.
Regarding French: check your DVD collection, almost all of them should have a French track since it's a world language. If you watch a show you already know in a new language, it helps your brain make the connections. The only better immersion I've found is live conversation.

My partner is a huge animation fan so we have a big collection of the Disney movies.
>> old Hollywood and anything relating to the stories of King Arthur and Robin Hood <<
The Ursulan Cycle is genderbent King Arthur.
It looks like we have some interests in common. Feel free to drop by my blog and see if you like it.
